Dr. Burstein earned his Bachelors of Arts (BA) degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1975 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from New York University College of Dentistry in 1978. In addition, he is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD). Dr. Burstein is Past President of the Queens County Dental Society and has represented Queens County to the Education Council for the New York State Dental Society. He is a current member of both the American Dental Association, the Suffolk County Dental Society and the New York State Dental Association. He is also a member of the American Association for Dental Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Burstein has over fifteen hundred hours of continuing education credits in all phases of dentistry. Dr. Burstein has been practicing in the New York metro area for over 25 years. He regularly writes a health column in a local paper and is a frequent contributor to the local and state dental journals. Dr. Burstein has also served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Prosthodontics at New York University and is an Attending at Jamaica Hospital. Dr. Burstein has a great deal of skill in artistically placing porcelain veneers, crowns and bridges to give you that smile you've always wanted. Dr. Burstein and his family reside in Dix Hills and are actively involved in the community.
